Sustainable Donors' Strategies and Practices
in Civil Society Development in the Balkans

Questionnaire for Donors

The following questionnaire is part of a research project titled: Sustainable donor strategies and practices in civil society development in the Balkans carried out by the Balkan Civil Society Development Network (BCSDN) and the School of Politics and International Relations, Queen Mary, University of London (QMUL). The work is funded by the Balkan Trust for Democracy (BTD). The objectives of the project are: to increase influence and ownership of donors’ strategies and coordination by local actors, esp. CSOs and public authorities, increase aid and actor effectiveness, and strengthen communication, coordination and cooperation between stakeholders. The research seeks to provide an overview of donor strategies and practices in civil society development in the Balkans. The findings will be channelled into a policy paper to be presented at a regional stakeholder policy workshop in autumn 2011.

The research is being conducted in accordance with the codes of ethical research of BCSDN and QMUL. In line with these, we will insure your answers to the following questions will always remain confidential and anonymous.
